Progress Made in Textile Industry of DPRK

Pyongyang, April 29 (KCNA) -- Workers in the textile industry of the DPRK have made higher results in the production as compared with the same period of last year.
More than a thousand spinners and weavers fulfilled their yearly and first half-yearly national economic plans amid the brisk socialist patriotic movement.

The weavers at the general weaving shop set a goal of fulfilling the two-year national economic plan and have striven to renew the past highest production record while helping the new workers improve their technical skills.
The chemical-fibre spinning combined shop and the spinning combined shop are increasing the number of innovators through a campaign in which one overtakes and learns from others and swaps experience with them.
Workers and technicians of the silk-spinning combined shop and dyeing combined shop are making progress in production while exploring and tapping internal reserves and pooling their wisdom and enthusiasm.
The Sinuiju Textile Mill finished the modernization of textile equipment in a short span of time through a dynamic campaign for new inventions.
