Socialist Emulation Reviewed in DPRK

Pyongyang, April 30 (KCNA) -- A meeting was held in the DPRK on Monday to review socialist emulation in the latter half of 2023 for increasing the production of greenhouse vegetables among Ryonpho and Jungphyong greenhouse farms.
It was attended by Ri Chol Man, vice-premier and concurrently chairman of the Agricultural Commission, Ri Tu Song, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), officials concerned, officials of the Agricultural Commission, the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) and the units involved in the emulation, and labor innovators.
Present as observers were officials and agricultural workers of the Kangdong Greenhouse Complex.
Han Jong Hyok, chairman of the Central Committee of the UAWK, made a report at the meeting.
The participants in the meeting watched a video on last year's successes and experience gained at the units.
Then, the emulation standings were announced.
A citation in the joint name of the WPK Central Committee and the DPRK Cabinet and a rotating silk banner were conferred on the Jungphyong Greenhouse Farm which proved successful in the socialist emulation. And certificates of merit from the UAWK Central Committee were awarded to exemplary labor innovators.
An outline of the 2024 socialist emulation for increasing the production of greenhouse vegetables among the Kangdong Greenhouse Complex and Jungphyong and Ryonpho greenhouse farms was announced. -0-
