Saudi Vice Foreign Minister Participates in 3rd Session of Arab Economic and Cooperation Forum with Countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan

Doha, April 30, 2024, SPA -- Deputizing for Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Saudi Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Eng. Waleed El-khereiji participated today in the third session of the Arab Economic and Cooperation Forum with the countries of Central Asia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Elkhereiji delivered a speech in which he praised the success of the two previous sessions, which resulted in the Riyadh and Dushanbe declarations entailing enhancing coordination and consultation among the participating countries. He stressed the importance of continuing this forum to deepen cooperation further and to exchange views on issues of common interest and challenges facing the region and the world.
Elkhereiji also renewed Saudi Arabia's call on the international community to assume its responsibilities to immediately stop Israel's military operations, collective punishment of civilians and attempts to displace the residents of the Gaza Strip forcibly, and to end the siege on the strip and enable humanitarian and relief organizations to deliver urgent and necessary aid to Palestinians without obstacles.
He reiterated the Kingdom's deep concern over the military escalation in the Middle East and the seriousness of its repercussions. He also called on all parties to exercise maximum restraint and spare the region and its people the dangers of war.
