National Meeting Marks 134th May Day in DPRK

Pyongyang, May 2 (KCNA) -- A national meeting was held at Kim Il Sung Stadium on May 1 to mark the 134th May Day, the international holiday of working people of the whole world.
Present there were officials of the DPRK Cabinet, ministries, national agencies and industrial establishments in Pyongyang and labor innovators and working people.
Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, Jon Hyon Chol, O Su Yong, Pak Jong Gun and other senior Party and government officials took the platform.
Premier Kim Tok Hun made a report at the national meeting.
The reporter said that the proud course of the working people of the DPRK, who have grown up to be masters of their destiny and dynamically advanced along the road of socialist construction under the guidance of the great leaders, holds the most brilliant place in the long history of struggle of working people of the whole world for gaining the right to independent life. The history of the WPK's revolutionary leadership is run through with the activities for training the working masses into a powerful force for social development, a powerful driving force of creation and construction firmly united under the banner of patriotism from the day when it had a hammer, a sickle and a brush inscribed in its sacred red flag.
In the sacred years when they defended and glorified with their blood and sweat the precious country they built with their own efforts, being aware of the fruition of labour and creation and the true worth of life as masters of factories and land, the working people deeply cherished their absolute trust in the Party and the leader and ardent love for the grateful country of the people and the socialist system, and grew up to be a large contingent of distinguished patriots in terms of the ideological and mental power and fighting spirit, he stated.
The new era of the Juche revolution, the era of the comprehensive development of socialism under the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, is the glorious era in which the working people lead the most dignified and happy life in the world, he stressed.
Kim Jong Un has put the position of the working people on the highest level, saying that the DPRK is the world of the people, and wisely sees to it that they give steady continuity to the history and tradition of loyalty and patriotism, he noted.
The revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Un, who is training the working people into a powerful force for the development of the state, is full of paternal loving care and warm family ties, and that is why the great political statecraft without an equal in the world is seen in the DPRK, he said.
The history of the heroic struggle and feats of the working people dedicated to the Party, revolution and country will be given steady continuity and the ideal of building a powerful country surely come true when they uphold the outstanding ideas and leadership of Kim Jong Un, who is building our socialist country into a genuine cradle of the working people shining with the greatest dignity and mightiness, he said.
He stressed that all the working people should bring about ceaseless innovations in the struggle to attain the twelve major goals for the development of the national economy in the Chollima spirit of the new era, bearing in mind the unshakable faith that the victory of the DPRK is a science and truth as it is led by Kim Jong Un.
The premier called upon everybody to more dynamically struggle for the beloved country, for the future of a more powerful, more beautiful and civilized country and for the great victory of the cause of the DPRK. -0-
