May Day Observed in DPRK

 Pyongyang, May 2 (KCNA) -- All the people across the DPRK celebrated May Day, the international holiday of the working people all over the world.
Senior Party and government officials visited factories, enterprises and other places across the country on May 1 to congratulate the working people on their holiday.
Officials of the Party and the government including Kim Tok Hun and Choe Ryong Hae, members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and officials of the Party and power organs at all levels visited the Chollima Steel Complex, Kangdong Greenhouse Complex, Kim Jong Thae Electric Locomotive Complex, Taean Heavy Machine Complex, State Academy of Sciences, Pukchang Thermal Power Complex, Sangwon Cement Complex and other units.
They congratulated the innovators who are dedicating themselves to their work in the forefront of the struggle for securing a clear practical guarantee for implementing the five-year plan for national economic development.
They watched sports and amusement games, including football, volleyball and tug-of-war, together with working people.
There were also performances given by itinerant art squads and art groups, adding to the festive mood.
The senior officials called on all the working people to make greater innovations in the third-stage 10 000 flats construction site in the Hwasong area, where a new history of dramatic changes is given steady continuity, and other worksites, true to the Party's plan and intention. -0-
