Winners of Title of Meritorious Person of Socialist Patriotism in DPRK

Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- More people across the DPRK have won the title of Meritorious Person of Socialist Patriotism amid the struggle to implement the decisions of the Ninth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
In South Phyongan Province which witnessed more than 70 winners of the title last year, a large number of officials and working people have been awarded the title this year.
The number of title holders is increasing with each passing day across the country, including North Hamgyong and Ryanggang provinces.
Among them are innovators in major industrial sectors, bumper croppers who contributed to filling the country's granary, scientists and technicians who accelerated the advance of the country with valuable achievements, and forest rangers who turned mountains of the country into golden and treasure mountains with green woods.
They also include officials devoting themselves to the development of their sectors and units with full responsibility, ordinary workers taking the lead in carrying out difficult and arduous tasks, and many patriotic citizens making sincerity to the strengthening of the national defence capabilities. -0-
