Sci-tech Achievements Made in DPRK

Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- Scientists, researchers and technicians of Kim Il Sung University, the State Academy of Sciences, Kim Chaek University of Technology and other units in the DPRK have made brisk researches to solve the sci-tech problems arising in major economic sectors and units.
The achievements made by them won a high appreciation at a national sci-tech presentation in the field of rare earth application technology, a national sci-tech presentation in the field of construction, the 37th Sci-Tech Festival of Kim Il Sung University, the 37th Sci-Tech Festival of Kim Chaek University of Technology, a national technical innovation contest of the April 15 technical innovation shock brigades, etc.
Scientists of the Ferrous Metal Research Institute under the State Academy of Sciences succeeded in the research into manufacturing a feed pump shaft with locally available materials and technology and the Chonnaeri Cement Factory established a new floating calcination roasting system. -0-
