35th TIBF kicks off in Tehran with participation of Syria

Tehran,SANA- The 35th edition of the Tehran International Book Fair launched in the Iranian capital Tehran on Wednesday with participation of Syria and publishing houses from several countries. 

The fair with the slogan “Let’s read and build” was held with the participation of more than 2,619 publishing houses and almost 70 Iranian government institutions. 

Chairman of current session of Tehran International Book Fair Yaser Ahmadvand stated that 50,000 foreign book titles are offered by 60 foreign publishers in this year’s book fair. 

He added that the presence of publishers in both the virtual and in-person parts of this event will become a turning point for developing the field of books and reading in the country.” 

The 35th Tehran International Book Fair has been scheduled to take place from May 8th to May 18th, 2024, at the Grand Mosalla mosque of Tehran.
