S. Korea`s pension fund revises investment plan for this year

SEOUL, June 30 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's national pension fund said Tuesday that
it will lower the ratio of its domestic equity investment this year, while
expanding the ratio of its bond exposure.
The equity investment ratio will be pared to 15.2 percent this year from an
earlier targeted 17 percent, the National Pension Service (NPS) said in its
revised fund operation plan. Its bond investment portion will be hiked to 72.1
percent from 69.3 percent earlier set for this year, it added.
The NPS, the nation's largest institutional investor with around 235.5 billion
won (US$183.7 million) in assets, said that it posted 472 billion won in losses
from its fund operation last year.
