CHINA FIRM WITH MART CAPITAL OF RM600 MLN TO LIST ON M`SIA EXCHANGE

KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 (Bernama) -- A shoe manufacturing company from China,
with potential market capitalisation of RM600 million (US$1=RM3.52), will be
listed on Malaysia Exchange soon, said Securities Commission chairman, Zarinah
Anuar.

"So far we have approved three foreign companies to be listed on Bursa
Malaysia," she told Bernama at Invest Malaysia 2009 here Tuesday.

She said one of them, a manufacturing firm from China, would be listed soon,
while the other two, also from China, had been informed of the approval.

Earlier, Prime Minister, Najib Razak said the current guidelines for foreign
companies to seek listing without any need for compliance with any equity
conditions had received positive feedback.

"Several foreign companies have successfully applied for listing in
Malaysia," he said when revealing a wide range of capital market liberalisation
measures.
