Iraq and Bahrain Discuss Developing Bilateral Relations and Enhancing Cooperation

Baghdad / NINA/ -The interim Iraqi Chargé d'Affairs in Bahrain, Ahmed Ismail Ibrahim, met with the Bahraini Minister of Interior, First General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, at the headquarters of the Bahraini Ministry of Interior.

 A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: “During the meeting, Ibrahim reviewed the strong and historical relations between Iraq and the Kingdom of Bahrain, and stressed Iraq’s keenness to develop these relations and enhance cooperation between the two countries.”

 For his part, the Bahraini Minister of Interior indicated that maintaining Arab security begins with strengthening the commitment of member states to each other’s security, which contributes to developing Arab security systems and enhancing their capabilities in facing challenges.

 He also stressed the importance of working to develop the process of security cooperation and strengthening the fraternal relations that bring together the two brotherly countries./End
