Efforts Made to Raise Operation Rate of Existing Equipment

Pyongyang, July 25 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers at the Sunchon Thermal Power Plant in the DPRK put spurs to the work for increasing the operation rate of existing generating equipment and revitalizing production.
The power plant has conducted in a methodological way the work to steadily update the technical and economic indices with main emphasis put on stability of production processes and cost reduction and intensified organizational and political work to carry out the production plans for every day, every ten days and every month without fail.
Workers and technicians of the heat production shop repaired the defective parts of pulverizing system in time and waged a socialist emulation to enhance the combustion efficiency, thus producing much more steam than the same period of last year while saving a large amount of coal.
Such efforts have been made at the chemical workshop and the turbine shop, too. -0-
