AI Center for Arabic Language Processing Highlights KSGAAL's Projects at Global AI Summit
Riyadh, September 11, 2024, SPA -- The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL) participated in the third Global AI Summit (GAIN Summit) organized by the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) from September 10 to 12 at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh. The academy was represented by the Artificial Intelligence Center for Arabic Language Processing.
During the summit, the Artificial Intelligence Center for Arabic Language Processing participated in the exhibition, showcasing a range of strategic initiatives based on artificial intelligence (AI). This center is the first specialized center for Arabic natural language processing. Its focus is on using and enhancing AI techniques to develop scientific and research tools and computer applications that facilitate interactions with the Arabic language on different platforms and computer applications.
The center aims to establish an active research community that contributes to finding solutions in Arabic natural language processing by providing linguistic resources and data, building computer tools, and organizing training programs and workshops in the fields of language computing and AI.
The center comprises five main laboratories: the "Artificial Intelligence Laboratory," the "Data Preparation and Linguistic Resources Building Laboratory," the "Audio and Visual Laboratory," the "Virtual and Augmented Reality Laboratory," and the "Researchers' Laboratory."
The Artificial Intelligence Center was launched in November 2023 to support researchers worldwide in implementing their projects and to develop their skills and innovations in AI and Arabic natural language processing.
