Minister of State for International Cooperation Meets UN Under-Secretary-General, Senior Humanitarian and Reconstruction Coordinator for Gaza

New York, September 22 (QNA) - HE Minister of State for International Cooperation Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater met Sunday with HE the United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Senior Humanitarian and Reconstruction Coordinator for Gaza, Sigrid Kaag, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting, they discussed the cooperation relations between the State of Qatar and the United Nations and ways to support and enhance them. They also discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as regional and international efforts aimed at achieving a ceasefire in the Strip and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza without obstacles.
Both parties expressed their deep concern regarding the Israeli escalation in Lebanon.
HE Minister of State for International Cooperation also expressed Qatar's appreciation for the UN's significant role in coordinating humanitarian efforts and alleviating the repercussions of the war on Gaza. (QNA)
