Kyrgyzstan, Cyprus exempt diplomatic passports’ holders from visa requirements
A bilateral meeting was held in New York between Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev and Cyprus Konstantinos Kombos.
During the meeting on the margins of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, the parties discussed priority issues on the bilateral agenda.
Minister Kulubaev noted the importance of maintaining political dialog and intensifying economic diplomacy between the two countries. To this end, it was proposed to hold political consultations and exchange high-level visits.
Particular attention was paid to the need for close cooperation on multilateral platforms, including support for Kyrgyzstan's candidacy for non-permanent members of the UN Security Council for 2027-2028.
The meeting resulted in the signing of the Agreement on exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports. The parties confirmed their intention to further strengthen the bilateral legal framework.
