Over 500 Cochlear Implants Are Performed Annually in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, September 30, 2024, SPA -- According to the Ministry of Health, the cochlear implant program conducts over 500 surgeries annually, all with a 100% success rate.
In the first half of 2024, 288 surgeries were performed.
The program continues to deliver essential treatment through health clusters, which contain 17 cochlear implant and rehabilitation centers nationwide. These centers are equipped with advanced rehabilitation facilities, and offer comprehensive healthcare services.
The program aims to provide treatment for individuals with hearing impairments, enabling them to lead healthy lives.
According to the ministry, cochlear implant and rehabilitation centers affiliated with health clusters are staffed by highly skilled specialized medical professionals who use state-of-the-art technologies to provide holistic care.
Cochlear implant centers in Saudi Arabia offer an extensive array of healthcare services, including hearing assessments, surgical procedures, programming, rehabilitation, and diagnostics.
