Saudi-Pakistani Business Forum Held in Islamabad
Islamabad, October 10, 2024, SPA -- The 2024 Saudi-Pakistani Business Forum was held today in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad, attended by Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar, and a large number of entrepreneurs and investors from both countries.
On the sidelines of the forum, several memoranda of cooperation were signed between businessmen from the two countries, covering a wide range of sectors, including energy, agriculture, food, mining, information technology, and other vital areas.
Delivering a speech at the forum, Al-Falih emphasized that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia places great importance on its relationship with Pakistan, noting that the Republic of Pakistan has the potential to become a high-return, low-risk investment destination, and it is a major investment hub for Saudi investors.
He also commended the economic initiatives of the Pakistani government, especially the establishment of the "Special Council for Investment Facilitation" as an important platform to facilitate investment processes.
The minister said that the volume of bilateral trade between the two countries reached $5.4 billion.
For his part, Ishaq Dar reaffirmed his country's commitment to enhancing economic and investment cooperation with the Kingdom, expressing gratitude to the leadership of the Kingdom for its steadfast and continuous support for Pakistan, especially during recent economic challenges.
