Saudi Arabia to Host Diplomatic Conference to Conclude, Adopt Design Law Treaty on November 11-22
Riyadh, October 10, 2024, SPA -- Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) board of directors Chairwoman Shaihanah bint Saleh AlAzzaz has visited the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, Switzerland, to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
During the visit, she met with WIPO Director General Daren Tang to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and support Saudi Arabia's international intellectual-property (IP) ambitions. The meeting underscored the commitment to strengthening joint efforts between Saudi Arabia and WIPO.
The visit included the signing of an agreement for Saudi Arabia to host the Diplomatic Conference to Conclude and Adopt a Design Law Treaty, to be held November 11 to 22 in Riyadh.
AlAzzaz also visited the Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations in Geneva, Abdulmohsen Majed bin Khothaila.
Saudi Arabia joined WIPO as a member in 1982. SAIP is responsible for monitoring commitments and developments in various IP fields, positively impacting IP activities in Saudi Arabia.
