Qatar Chairs 22nd Meeting of General-Directors of GCC Public Administrations

 
Doha, October 15 (QNA) - The State of Qatar chaired the 22nd meeting of the General-Directors of institutes of public administration from the gulf cooperation council (GCC) countries, held today in Doha, with the participation of the esteemed General-Directors from GCC member states. The meeting discussed numerous initiatives and programs aimed at enhancing Gulf cooperation in public administration and developing national talent. It also highlighted key practices and innovative projects in the region's institutes of public administration, as well as explored ways to strengthen knowledge exchange among member states through joint programs that support practical training and innovation. Additionally, the State of Qatar announced an award for the best innovative projects and practices, with the goal of encouraging creative solutions that contribute to administrative development and skill enhancement. The winners will be honored at the 23rd meeting of the Committee of Directors General of Public Administration Institutes in Kuwait. In her speech Director of the Training and Career Development Department at the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau (CGB) Institute of Public Administration Maha Masoud Al Marri, emphasized that the meeting provides a valuable opportunity to discuss the latest developments and establish effective strategies for the future. She highlighted the importance of enhancing administrative competencies and leadership skills in line with modern developments in public administration. Khaled bin Ali bin Salem Al Sunaidi, who serves as Assistant Secretary-General for Economic and Developmental Affairs at the GCC General Secretariat, stressed the importance of collaborative efforts in administrative development, knowledge exchange, and supporting the representation of GCC countries on the boards of international public administration institutions. He also extended his gratitude to Qatar and the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau for their hospitality and for organizing the meeting. (QNA)
