KSGAAL Participates in Conference on Common European Framework of Reference for Languages in Spain

Barcelona, October 18, 2024, SPA --The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL) participated today in the Specialized Conference on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, organized by Blanquerna and Ramon Llull universities. The conference, held from October 18 to 19 in Barcelona, Spain, aimed to exchange experiences among users of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), explore compatibility with various languages, and share valuable lessons.
Secretary-General of KSGAAL Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Washmi emphasized that the academy's participation in the conference strengthens linguistic identity, fosters commitment to preserving the purity of the Arabic language, and aligns with KSGAAL’s competencies. This effort is also part of the Human Capability Development Program, a key initiative within Saudi Vision 2030.
The conference received wide support from leading global organizations in language teaching and assessment, with numerous experts in attendance. Several significant research papers related to the event were also presented.
KSGAAL's involvement in the conference aligns with its strategic goals to foster collaboration with institutions focused on teaching languages to non-native speakers. The academy aims to benefit from institutional methodologies while showcasing its initiatives, programs, and linguistic projects. Additionally, KSGAAL plays a crucial role in preserving the purity and identity of the Arabic language, supporting its use in both speech and writing, and facilitating its teaching and learning within and beyond the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
