KSrelief Clinics Provide Medical Services to 2,605 Refugees in Jordan's Zaatari Camp
Amman, October 19, 2024, SPA -- The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) provided medical services to 2,605 patients at the Zaatari Syrian Refugee Camp in Jordan during the first week of October.
The general clinics treated 658 patients, offering examinations and necessary medications. The internal medicine clinic saw 125 patients dealing with diabetes, hypertension, and asthma. The pediatric clinic examined 320 children, while the emergency department attended to 297 patients. Additionally, 133 patients visited the dental clinic.
The gynecology clinic served 204 women, and the ear, nose, and throat (ENT) clinic treated 26 patients for conditions such as sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and otitis media. The ophthalmology clinic assisted 51 patients and provided them with medications. The cardiology clinic received 22 patients, and the diagnostic radiology clinic conducted examinations for 29 patients.
In total, 2,538 laboratory tests were performed on 300 patients, and 128 X-rays were taken for 90 patients. The vaccination clinic administered 212 vaccines to 76 patients and provided chronic medications to 194 patients. The health education department supported 80 beneficiaries, while the pharmacy recorded 1,591 prescriptions.
