SFD Chief Participates in IMF, World Bank Annual Meetings in Washington

Washington, October 25, 2024, SPA -- Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) Chief Executive Officer Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Marshad has participated in the 2024 annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group in Washington, D.C. He held multiple bilateral discussions with ministers and officials from various countries, as well as heads of banks and development organizations, including the Arab Coordination Group (ACG). The discussions focused on strengthening partnerships and enhancing development cooperation to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals in least-developed and developing countries.
Al-Marshad participated in a "Cooperation and Integration in Sustainable Development" event organized by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) General Secretariat. At the event, he highlighted the SFD's role in supporting development and promoting regional and international collaboration to provide essential financing for development projects worldwide. The SFD's participation in such meetings reflects the importance of development partnerships and international cooperation and its 50-year commitment to strengthening the foundations of sustainable development in various forms. Its commitment aims to create diverse opportunities for economic growth and social prosperity.
