Bahrain 1 handball team leads Group A after win over Bulgaria

Manama, Oct. 25 (BNA): Bahrain’s “Bahrain 1” team achieved a decisive victory against Bulgaria in their opening match at the ISF Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024, establishing an early lead in Group A.

Bahrain led 11-8 at halftime and extended their advantage in the second half to secure a 31-15 win. The game was held at the Handball Federation Hall, Um Al Hassam Sports Complex.

In other matches, France edged past Saudi Arabia 21-20, while Ukraine defeated Benin 38-12 and Romania beat Iran 25-19 in the girls’ competition, marking strong starts in the tournament.
