Sheikh Joaan Attends ANOC General Assembly Meeting

Lesbon, October 30 (QNA) - HE Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) Senior Vice President Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, who is also the Qatar Olympic Committee President, participated Wednesday in the ANOC 27th General Assembly in Cascais, Portugal.
The assembly was attended by ANOC President Dr. Robin Mitchell, International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Dr. Thomas Bach, along with representatives of more than 200 national Olympic committees and representatives of the IOC, international sports federations, and Olympic Games Organizing Committees.
The meeting discussed reports on the ANOC programs and activities and gave a presentation on its future plans.
It also discussed reports on the Summer Olympic Games (Paris 2024) and the upcoming Olympic Games.
During the ANOC Awards ceremony on the sidelines of the General Assembly, HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani honored the Denmark handball team as the best men's team at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. (QNA)
