Sadyr Zhaparov receives Chairman of Kazakh Parliament Yerlan Koshanov

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov received Chairman of the Majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Yerlan Koshanov, who has arrived in the country for an official visit.

Welcoming Yerlan Koshanov, the Kyrgyz leader noted that today relations between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan are deepening and gaining practical importance, and interstate political dialog is actively developing at all levels.

Noting the progressive growth of mutual trade and expansion of trade and economic ties, the head of state emphasized the successful activities of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh Intergovernmental Council, the next meeting of which is scheduled to be held in the near future.

During the conversation, President Zhaparov conveyed warm words of greetings to Kazakh leader Kasym-Jomart Tokayev, assuring of Kyrgyzstan's readiness to continue developing Kyrgyz-Kazakh relations in the spirit of friendship, brotherhood, alliance and mutual respect.

In turn, Yerlan Koshanov emphasized that the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan have long been linked by ties of brotherhood, friendship and good neighborliness.

Expressing interest in further deepening of cooperation in various directions, in particular, in the sphere of interparliamentary cooperation, the chairman of the Kazakh Parliament informed about the results of the regular meeting of the Interparliamentary Council.

He noted that Kazakhstan fully supports the reforms carried out by President Sadyr Zhaparov, aimed at improving the welfare of the citizens of Kyrgyzstan. The Kazakh people are happy to note the changes and achievements of the brotherly Kyrgyz people, especially the growth of the country's economy and significant socio-economic changes.
