Baku, November 6, 2024, SPA -- Secretary-General of the World Muslim Communities Council Dr. Mohamed Bechari has highlighted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's participation in the COP29 Global Summit of Religious Leaders is a pivotal step reflecting the Kingdom's deep commitment to environmental protection and efforts towards a greener, sustainable planet. The summit commenced yesterday in Baku, Azerbaijan, under the theme "World Religions for a Green Planet".
Bechari praised Saudi Arabia's opening speech at the summit, emphasizing the Kingdom's pioneering role in establishing comprehensive strategies that integrate environmental protection as a core element of its cultural and national identity.
