KSrelief Clinics Provide Medical Services to 2,520 Refugees in Jordan’s Zaatari Camp in One Week
Amman, November 12, 2024, SPA -- The medical clinics of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) provided services to 2,520 patients at the Zaatari camp for Syrian refugees in Jordan during the fourth week of October 2024.
The general medicine clinics attended to 503 patients, who received necessary medications. The internal medicine clinic treated 119 patients with diabetes, hypertension, and asthma, while 292 children visited the pediatric clinic. The emergency department received 238 patients, and the dental clinic served 154 patients.
Additionally, 211 women visited the women’s clinic, while 54 patients with sinus, pharyngeal, tonsilitis, and middle ear infections attended the ear, nose and throat clinic. The ophthalmology clinic examined and treated 34 patients, the cardiology clinic treated 28 patients, and 19 patients visited the diagnostic radiology clinic.
The rehabilitation clinic treated 16 patients, 3,195 lab tests were conducted for 335 patients, and 119 X-rays were taken for 92 patients. Medications for chronic conditions were provided to 280 patients, while the physical therapy department treated 59 patients, with a total of 1,572 prescriptions filled at the pharmacy.
