S. Korea's reported H1N1 flu cases come to 286

SEOUL, July 5 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's health authorities said Sunday they have
confirmed 27 additional cases of type-A flu, raising the number infections here
to 286.
Among the 27 were two men in their 20s employed at the quarantine office of the
Incheon International Airport, and who tested positive for the H1N1 virus after
showing flu-like symptoms, including fever and throat pain, the Ministry for
Health, Welfare and Family Affairs said in a statement.
It is the first time for quarantine officers to have been infected with the new
H1N1 flu, the ministry said.
The confirmed patients list also includes seven who traveled to Australia, five
returning from the Philippines and five who made trips to Thailand.
Health authorities are also trying track down 115 passengers who traveled to
the Philippines, while one passenger who traveled with them was confirmed to
have been infected with the flu.
South Korea has been relatively insulated from the contagious disease, which
has claimed more than 300 lives since its outbreak in late April. No deaths
have been reported here.
