Iranian Engineer Resigns from Google Over Palestine Support
According to Mehr News Agency, an Iranian software engineer working at Google has announced his resignation in a LinkedIn post, citing the company's collaboration with the Israeli regime as the reason for his decision.
Alireza Zakari wrote on LinkedIn:
"I am happy to announce that I have left Google! While I had the privilege of working with talented colleagues on exciting projects, why am I happy? Because this decision reflects my values. After learning about Google’s involvement in the 'Project Nimbus,' I voiced my concerns for several months. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of many employees, the company’s leadership chose to maintain their stance and disregarded our collective concerns.
Living in a situation that contradicts one’s fundamental values is incredibly challenging. Leaving the company was not an easy decision, but it was necessary. I hope that anyone facing a similar situation finds the courage to prioritize their principles.
What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?"
'Project Nimbus' is a cloud computing initiative for the government and military of the Israeli regime. This contract provides an extensive cloud computing solution for the regime’s government and defense organizations.
