Hanjin Heavy wins revised order for three vessels
SEOUL, July 6 (Yonhap) -- Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction Co., South
Korea's fifth-largest shipyard, said Monday that an order it received earlier has
been revised and is worth 25 percent more than the original value.
The shipbuilder said in a regulatory filing that it has won a new contract valued
at 284 billion won (US$224 million), compared with the 207 billion won it earlier
agreed to in June 2007.
The new order calls on Hanjin Heavy to build three bulk carriers, instead of four
container ships, the company said.
Shares of Hanjin Heavy were trading at 33,750 won on the Seoul bourse as of 10:00
a.m., unchanged from Friday's close.
