Ambassador: I am confident that cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kuwait will continue to evolve steadily

Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister, met with Mohammad Faisal Al-Mutairi, the newly appointed ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the country.
The Kuwaiti ambassador presented a copy of his credentials to Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his future endeavors.
FM Bayramov noted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Kuwait. He hailed the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation over the past years.
The sides highlighted the importance of intensifying the activities of the Joint Commission for Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Kuwait to further develop bilateral cooperation in various domains, including economy, trade, investments, tourism etc.
The parties emphasized the significance of continuing mutual support and cooperation within regional and international organizations, especially the UN, the Non-Aligned Movement, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
The sides discussed in detail the outcomes of COP29. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted that the successful organization of conference under Azerbaijan’s leadership made a significant contribution to combating climate change.
The ambassador expressed his confidence that the current cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kuwait would continue to develop on an upward trajectory, adding that he would spare no effort in this regard.
The sides also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
