Qatar Closely Follows Developments in Syria, Urges Preserving Institutions, State Unity

Doha, December 8 (QNA) - The State of Qatar has expressed deep concern over the evolving situation in Syria, emphasizing the importance of preserving national institutions and safeguarding the unity of the Syrian state to avert potential chaos.
    In a statement issued today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed Qatar's steadfast position on resolving the Syrian crisis in alignment with international legitimacy and United Nations Security Council Resolution 2254; to realize the interests of the Syrian people and preserves the unity, sovereignty and independence of the country.
    The statement called on all parties to embrace dialogue as a means to end bloodshed, protect national institutions, and secure a brighter future for the Syrian people. It highlighted the need to achieve their aspirations for development, stability, and justice.
    Qatar reiterated its unwavering solidarity with the Syrian people and affirmed its commitment to supporting their legitimate choices and aspirations. (QNA)
