“Vechernyaya Moskva” newspaper special edition
Moscow, July 07, 2009 (Khabar) - One of the oldest Russian newspapers called “Vechernyaya Moskva” has given Kazakhstan’s capital city an unusual present. It published a special holiday edition, devoted to Astana’s birthday.

The publishers of this newspaper said that they published this edition with the help of Moscow and Astana city councils, Kazakhstan’s embassy in Russia and colleagues from the “Vecherniy Almaty” newspaper.
Yuriy Ryazhskiy, head editor “Vechernyaya Moskwa” newspaper:
- We believe that Moscow people would be interested in such news, since Kazakhstan and Russia have close political, economic and trade links.
Yuriy Ryzhkov said that journalists wanted to tell people about the cooperation of the two states and the two cities.
Alla Kimova, Moscow resident:
- Dear residents of Astana and Kazakhstan. I would like to congratulate you on the 11th anniversary of your capital city. We want to wish you health, wealth and good luck.
