Global Healthspan Summit Opens in Riyadh

Riyadh, February 04, 2025, SPA -- In the presence of the Minister of National Guard and chairman of the executive committee of the Hevolution Foundation Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, the second annual Global Healthspan Summit (GHS 2025) started in Riyadh today.
Organized by the Hevolution Foundation, the summit is held under the theme, "Architecting the Future," with the participation of over 2,500 figures and 150 international speakers.
During the summit, the largest of its kind worldwide, participants will be engaged in brainstorming discussions on healthy aging to ensure a prosperous future for individuals and communities. The summit also seeks to formulate practical solutions to address the aging challenge, one of the most urgent issues after climate change in our time.
The summit focuses on promoting science-based discussions to stimulate pioneering research, expand entrepreneurship, encourage smart investments in the sector, and build strong global partnerships for knowledge exchange and enhancing areas of collaboration.
Hevolution Foundation chief executive Dr. Mehmood Khan opened the summit by announcing massive investments totaling $55 million in four biotechnology startups focused on developing treatments in the field of healthy aging.
He said that the new investments highlight the global leading efforts driven by Saudi Arabia through the Hevolution Foundation to bring about a deep transformation in addressing the aging challenge, and they align with the goals of the Saudi National Biotech Strategy to make the Kingdom a global hub for biotechnology and achieve a high level of self-sufficiency, creating a positive social and economic impact.
