Pakistan Strengthens Collaboration With ASEAN Through AI Driven Strategies

ISLAMABAD, Feb 22 (Bernama) -- Pakistan is actively expanding its collaboration with ASEAN countries to enhance its strategic communications with the regions’ member nations by leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and information technology.

Pakistan Digital Communication Department director-general, Mohammad Shahzad, said the level of engagement between Pakistan and ASEAN nations is increasing, citing various successful case studies by both parties in AI adoption.

“The collaboration will continue to grow as we learn from ASEAN countries that have successfully implemented AI and IT solutions to achieve positive outcomes.

“Pakistan has recently begun integrating AI into its governance and communication strategies,” he told Bernama recently, sharing his experience as a veteran Pakistani journalist during the ASEAN-Pakistan Media/Journalist Exchange Programme here.

Mohammad said that as Pakistan continues to refine its AI-driven initiatives, it hopes to strengthen ties with ASEAN partners and develop more effective strategies for public engagement and governance.

The ASEAN-Pakistan Media Exchange Programme, which runs from Feb 17 to 22, is organised by Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting with the support from the ASEAN Secretariat.

The initiative brings together 23 journalists from ASEAN member states and Timor-Leste to foster media collaboration and strengthen regional ties.
