His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman attends the Saudi Cup

Riyadh, Feb. 23 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), and Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) High Committee, today attended the Saudi Cup at the King Abdulaziz Racecourse in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman affirmed that the advancements in Bahrain’s horse racing sector are a result of the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, who continue to enhance and develop the sport.
His Highness highlighted the distinguished participation of Bahraini stables in international and regional championships, which has led to significant sporting achievements, further strengthening Bahrain’s position on the international horse racing map.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman noted that the advancements in Saudi Arabia’s horse racing sector are a result of the support of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.
His Highness highlighted the continued success of the Saudi Cup, recognising it as one of the world’s premier horse racing events that attracts top competitors from across the globe. His Highness commended the participation of Bahraini stables in the prestigious race, emphasising Bahrain’s commitment to competing in international and regional events, which plays a vital role in advancing the sport of horse racing in the Kingdom.
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman commended the efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Bandar bin Khalid Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the High Equestrian Commission and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Horse Racing Club in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. HH also expressed his best wishes for Saudi Arabia’s continued success in the field of horse racing.
His Highness extended his congratulations to the first-place winners and wished the best of luck to the remaining participants in their future races.
The Saudi Cup featured the participation of several Bahraini horses in three rounds, competing alongside a group of elite international horses.
Bahraini horses delivered notable performances, with:
• Cracksking of Al Adiyat Racing securing second place and Qaadar of Al Raifga Stables finishing third in the fifth round of the Saudi International Handicap Cup over a 2100-meter distance.
• Calif of Victorious claiming second place in the sixth round, which was held over the Howden Neom Turf Cup at a 2100-meter distance.
• Geomon, owned by Mohammed Khalid Abdulrahim, finishing third in the seventh round, which was held over the 1351 Turf Sprint Cup.
