Korean, Chinese authors to discuss 'humans and nature'

SEOUL, July 9 (Yonhap) -- Scores of writers from Korea and China will meet in
China this week, introducing their recent works and sharing views on the theme
"Nature, Human and Peaceful World," local organizers of the event said Thursday.
The two-day meeting, beginning Friday in Xining, China's Qinghai province, is the
third of its kind jointly organized by Korea's Paradise Culture Foundation and
China's Qinghai Writers Union.
The two writers associations agreed in 2006 to hold annual meetings for the next
10 years to activate literary communication between the two neighboring
countries. Two previous Korea-China authors meetings were held in Shanghai in
2007 and Incheon last year.
Korean writers Kim Joo-young, Park Sang-woo and Koo Hyo-seo and Chinese writers
including Arai, author of "Smeared in Colors," will be participating in the
event, Paradise Foundation said in a press release.
