800 PEOPLE FROM 16 COUNTRIES EXPECTED AT ADASIA09
KUALA LUMPUR, July 9 (Bernama) -- AdAsia09, to be held from October 22 to 24
at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, is expected to attract more than 800
participants from 16 countries from Asia.
The conference, themed "Asia - Redefining the Future", will be an ideal
networking platform to share ideas, exchange notes, work in partnership and form
alliances to build the business together, said its organising chairman Peter Das
in a statement.
AdAsia is a biennial event that takes place in various countries in Asia
under the auspices of the Asian Federation of Advertising Associations (AFAA).
Das who is also AFAA chairman, said this year's conference would extend even
farther by identifying solutions that will provide long term stability for the
industry.
AdAsia09 would focus on the tools advertisers need to employ to target a new
generation of discerning consumers, he said.
Last year, he said, the regional advertising revenue grew by 5.6 percent,
propelled largely by the Beijing Olympics, and he remained upbeat that the Asian
economy will experience a positive recovery despite the absence of any major
event.
