LS Cable signs US$200 mln deal in Iraq

SEOUL, July 9 (Yonhap) -- LS Cable Ltd., South Korea's biggest wire and cable
maker, said Thursday that it has signed a US$200 million deal to provide
telecommunication equipment to major cities in central Iraq.
Under the deal with Sinatel Co., LS Cable will supply devices to build telecom
networks in cities around Karbala and Salahuddin provinces by July 2012, the
company said in a regulatory filing.
