Caracas hosts biggest Immortal Regiment procession in four years — Russian diplomat
CARACAS, May 4. /TASS/. Russians, Belarusians and Venezuelans took part in the Immortal Regiment procession that was held in the center of the Venezuelan capital of Caracas on Saturday.
"The largest Immortal Regiment march in four years, which we have been holding in Caracas since 2022, has just ended," Russian Ambassador to Venezuela Sergei Melik-Bagdasarov told a TASS correspondent. The Russian diplomat said that the event brought together more than 450 people.
As the diplomat said, the march in the center of Caracas was attended by Russian citizens, embassy employees, representatives Russian agencies and companies working in Venezuela, graduates of Russian and Soviet universities, activists of the "Volunteers of Victory" movement, as well as "Venezuelans who came to show their solidarity and pay tribute to the memory of those who died in the Great Patriotic War in the fight against fascism, and those who forged victory in the rear.".
