Oil Minister receives French Ambassador

Manama, May 8 (BNA): Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Dainah, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, received Éric Giraud-Telme, Ambassador of France to Bahrain, and Anouar Mekkas, Regional Nuclear and Renewable Energy Adviser.
The minister emphasised that the relations between Bahrain and France are founded on mutual respect and longstanding cooperation. He highlighted Bahrain’s keenness to expand bilateral partnership, particularly in the domains of energy diversification and clean technology, in support of sustainable development goals and in line with national energy and environmental transition plans.
The meeting also discussed means to enhance bilateral cooperation and exchange expertise in sustainable energy, contributing to the achievement of environmental and developmental objectives.
On his part, the ambassador expressed France’s interest in broadening avenues of cooperation with Bahrain, particularly given the strategic priorities shared by both countries in the areas of energy innovation and support for climate-related initiatives.
