Information Undersecretary participates in preparatory GCC media meeting in Kuwait

Kuwait, May 11 (BNA): Yousif Mohammed Al Binkhalil, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, participated in the preparatory meeting for the 45th session of the GCC Ministers of Information meeting, held in Kuwait.

Al Binkhalil emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to advancing joint Gulf cooperation at all levels and fostering closer ties among the peoples of the GCC countries.

He highlighted the importance of such meetings as a key platform for strengthening coordination and integration among GCC states in the media sector, in line with the aspirations of the leaders of the GCC countries.

Undersecretary Al Binkhalil commended the agenda’s focus on topics that support the advancement of joint media efforts and explore ways to enhance media in the Gulf to keep pace with the latest global technological developments.

He commended the progress in media cooperation among GCC countries and underscored Bahrain’s keenness to actively contribute to all meetings and forums aimed at reinforcing the role of Gulf media in reflecting the region’s development and progress.

Al Binkhalil also praised the efforts of the Ministry of Information and Culture in Kuwait in preparing to host this important meeting, and highlighted the role of the GCC General Secretariat in organising the session.

The undersecretaries' meeting reviewed the agenda items in preparation for their submission to the session of the GCC Ministers of Information for approval.
