Interior Minister receives former UK defence chief

Manama, May 12 (BNA):  General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, received General (Retd.) Sir Nicholas Carter, former Chief of the Defence Staff of the United Kingdom’s Armed Forces, in the presence of Major General Dr. Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy Chief of Public Security.

The Minister highlighted the importance of fostering dialogue and the exchange of perspectives.  He commended the strategic ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom and the joint efforts to strengthen and advance these relations to serve the interests of both countries.

The meeting also addressed several topics related to security cooperation in light of ongoing global developments and emerging security challenges
