Public Security Chief receives UK Defence Senior Advisor

Manama, May 12 (BNA):  Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security, received Vice Admiral Edward Ahlgren, the United Kingdom’s Defence Senior Advisor to the Middle East and North Africa, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of Major General Dr. Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy Chief of Public Security.

The Chief of Public Security commended the deep-rooted and historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, particularly in security and defence, and the continuous growth and development of joint cooperation.

He underscored that the security ties between the two countries serve as a successful model of strategic partnership, built on mutual trust and ongoing coordination.

He emphasised the importance of building on this cooperation to address emerging regional security challenges.

The meeting also reviewed areas of collaboration and discussed topics of mutual interest, including means to enhance coordination in counter-terrorism efforts, address modern security threats, and exchange expertise and experiences in these domains.
