KOGAS sells US$500 mln in global bonds


SEOUL, July 10 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's state-run Korea Gas Corp. (KOGAS) said
Friday it has sold US$500 million worth of dollar-denominated bonds amid an
easing global financial meltdown.
The company said the bonds will mature in five years and carry an interest rate
of 3.9 percentage points higher than the yield on corresponding benchmark U.S.
Treasuries.
Four financial firms, including JPMorgan Chase & Co., arranged the debt sale, the
company said, adding the bond offer drew bids worth $6 billion from investors.
