Cybersecurity Drill Launched for 1446 AH Hajj Season

Jeddah, May 13, 2025, SPA -- The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) announced today the launch of the Cybersecurity Exercise for the 1446 AH Hajj season. The initiative aims to bolster the cybersecurity readiness of national entities involved in Hajj operations, enhance cybersecurity professionals' skills, and ensure digital infrastructure protection. These efforts provide pilgrims with a secure, seamless, and high-quality experience.
The drill is part of the Hajj Season Cybersecurity Enhancement Program, implemented by the NCA to ensure the resilience of technical systems and services during Hajj, and support national efforts to deliver world-class services to pilgrims.
The two-day exercise, held in Jeddah, brings together over 300 national entities and over 800 officials and cybersecurity specialists. It features simulations of various cyberattacks in a realistic technical environment, enabling participants to practice incident response procedures, including preparedness, detection, analysis, containment, recovery, and post-incident review, as well as information sharing and lessons learned.
The exercise is conducted through a specialized platform developed and operated locally in partnership with the Saudi Information Technology Company (SITE), the Authority's technical arm.
The exercise also includes a series of technical and administrative activities aimed at developing innovative solutions to cybersecurity challenges related to Hajj services. The initiative reflects the NCA's commitment to building a secure digital environment that supports national development across all sectors.
