Abdulrahman Showaiter named first Bahraini to be listed in Geospatial World 50 Rising Stars 2025

Madrid, May 14 (BNA): The international organisation Geospatial World has named Abdulrahman Showaiter, Head of Cadastral Data and Development at the Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB), as the first Bahraini to be listed among the "Geospatial World 50 Rising Stars 2025".

Showaiter was presented with the award during an official ceremony in Madrid, held as part of the Geospatial World Forum, which brought together over 800 participants from 70 countries and featured 300 international speakers. He was recognised for leading several strategic projects in land surveying and digital transformation, including the introduction of 3D property registration in the Kingdom of Bahrain, contributing to the development of regulations for gated communities, and advancing spatial databases to support efficient decision-making.

Basem bin Yaqoub Al Hamar, President of the SLRB, received Showaiter at his office and congratulated him on the achievement. He highlighted the achievement as a reflection of Bahraini talent and its ability to secure international recognition.

Al Hamar noted that embracing innovation and technology helps improve the sector’s readiness for ongoing developments in land management and geospatial systems.

On his part, Showaiter expressed pride in representing the Kingdom as part of a team committed to progress and smart transformation. He thanked Al Hamar for his continued support, describing the award as international recognition of Bahrain’s advancement in geospatial data.
