Chief of Public Security attends launch of Dubai Police cybercrime awareness platform

Dubai, May 15 (BNA): Lieutenant General Tariq Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security, participated in the launch of Dubai Police’s cybercrime awareness platform, held on the sidelines of the closing ceremony of the World Police Summit 2025. Present was Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police.
The Chief of Public Security thanked the Commander in Chief of Dubai Police for the invitation to attend the launch. He noted the platform’s objectives in raising public awareness to prevent cybercrimes, particularly in light of the rise in digital forgery, identity theft, and electronic fraud. He also underlined the importance of educating the public on methods to protect personal data.
He commended Dubai Police’s role in adopting and developing artificial intelligence applications in policing, which has contributed to its advanced international standing in the field. He added that this progress reflects a forward looking approach to enhancing security through the use of modern technologies.
Lieutenant General Al Hassan congratulated Dubai Police on receiving ISO 42001 certification during the summit and commended the organisation of the event, which he said contributed to achieving its intended outcomes.
He also highlighted the summit’s objectives in advancing policing capabilities, particularly through programmes and exhibitions that address the future of police work in light of technological advancement and artificial intelligence applications. He noted that such efforts support specialised policing and crime prevention by making optimal use of human resources and digital tools to enhance public safety.
