Delegation heads' seminar reviews Bahrain 2025 3rd Asian Youth Games preparations

Manama, May 16 (BNA): Heads of delegations from Asian Olympic committees convened in Manama as part of preparations for the 3rd Asian Youth Games – Bahrain 2025, with the participation of Faris Mustafa Al Kooheji, Secretary-General of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), and Vinod Kumar, Deputy Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA).

Yousef Duaij, Chairman of the Executive Committee, highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to delivering a high-standard edition that reflects Asia’s diversity and unity. He described the seminar as an important platform for coordination and operational planning.

Al Kooheji noted that accreditation guidelines would be issued in June, with early processing available. He confirmed that athlete arrivals would be supported by improved signage, baggage tracking, immigration facilitation, and logistics assistance, including for training camps in Dammam.

He affirmed flexible accommodation arrangements, separate housing for officials, and an official opening ceremony. Transport schedules, delegation quotas, and ticketing, available from mid-August, are being finalised. A unified visual identity will be applied, with allowances for internal branding.

Training starts on October 13. No cap will be placed on athlete numbers. Medical and physiotherapy services will be provided, and all athletes must complete anti-doping e-courses.

At a closing press conference, Yousef Duaij, announced a regional and international media plan, including digital promotion, influencer collaboration, and a dedicated app for live coverage. Site visits for media and delegations will begin soon, with a detailed briefing planned next month.
