Foreign Ministry official participates in GCC EU Political Committee meeting

Riyadh, May 16 (BNA): Mohamed Abdulrahman Al Haidan, Chief of the Legal Affairs Sector and Acting Chief of the GCC Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participated in the 26th meeting of the Senior Officials’ Political Committee between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the European Union (EU). The meeting was held at the GCC Secretariat General headquarters in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The meeting discussed ways to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two sides and enhance coordination across various fields. Both sides also addressed regional and international issues, particularly the Palestinian cause and developments in Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Sudan, and Ukraine, in addition to the latest regional developments.

The meeting reflected the shared commitment to advancing strategic dialogue and strengthening consultation mechanisms between the GCC and the EU.
